Project Analyst

This position coordinates and assists Project Managers with activities in designated projects to ensure that the goals or objectives of the projects are accomplished within prescribed time frames and budget parameters. This individual must be able to effectively communicate to both customers and vendors and must be able to properly manage multiple projects and vendors at any given time.

  • Reviews project proposal or plan to determine time frame, budget limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, subcontractor requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.
  • Assists with the coordination of site surveys to determine customer needs.
  • Assists the Project Managers with establishing and implementing work plans for each phase of the project.
  • Arranges for recruitment or assignment of subcontractor labor and ensures that project schedule progresses in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ensure that all project information and documentation is gathered in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Reviews status reports and information obtained from subcontractors to ensure that all information is accurate and obtained in a timely fashion.
  • Assists with ensuring that all required materials are properly ordered and shipped to corresponding job sites and within established company policies and procedures.
  • Ensures the proper and complete entry of jobs into the order entry job cost system and that all information is obtained in order to properly invoice the end-user customer.
  • Assists in working with various functional groups to ensure that other departments have the information required to properly invoice, collect and report on the profitability of a project.
  • Assists in materials acqusition (within budget parameters) and physical inventory and cycle counts.

Technology Services Sales Rep

The position requires an experienced technology services sales representative with a demonstrated track record of success selling IT related services to the Fortune 1000 market.

The Sales Representative reports to the Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing and is responsible for selling Datatrend's Technology Services. The position requires excellent opportunity development, account management and communication skills. The sales representative will be required to have an understanding of business issues and cost drivers that impact a company and how technology solutions can efficiently and cost-effectively address them. The sales representative must be able to manage multiple opportunities and client projects simultaneously, be willing to work flexible hours and travel as necessary. The successful candidate must, at a minimum, be a subject matter expert able to provide credible consulting advice to prospects and customers in the following key service categories:

  • Migrations and Conversions - platform and operating system migrations; software conversions; platform and operating system upgrades
  • Datacenter Consulting - strategy; best practices processes; process automation; staff augmentation; server, storage, and data center management
  • IT Infrastructure Optimization - assessments; virtualization solutions for servers, storage and clients; server and storage containment/consolidation; SAN and NAS networked storage solutions; thin client solutions.
  • Business Continuity - backup/restore; disaster recovery; high availability

Network Services Sales Rep

This is a senior Sales Representative position that reports to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing. The position requires excellent opportunity development, account management and communication skills. The Sales Representative will be required to have a thorough understanding of structured cabling solutions, which should include wireless environments. The Sales Representative must be able to sell independently and be fully capable of addressing customers technical, design and engineering questions. The Sales Representative must be able to manage multiple opportunities and client projects simultaneously, be willing to work flexible hours and travel as necessary.

  • The qualified candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of successfully selling network and structured cabling services.
  • Skills should include LAN, WAN systems, Voice and Data network cabling, low voltage copper, fiber, Cat 3, Cat 5, PBX, telephone, key systems, etc...
  • An existing account following/book of business that will minimize ramp up time.
  • Industry relationships and experience (e.g. BICSI).

IT Infrastructure Solutions Sales Rep

This is a senior Sales Representative position that reports to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing. The position requires excellent opportunity development, account management and communication skills. The Sales Representative will be required to have a thorough understanding of understanding of how IT infrastructure solutions can help address client's business issues and be able to communicate these solutions to the client in a compelling way. The Sales Representative must be able to sell independently and be fully capable of addressing customers technical, design and engineering questions. The Sales Representative must be able to manage multiple opportunities and client projects simultaneously, be willing to work flexible hours and travel as necessary.

  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of successfully selling IBM Unix (pSeries/AIX), Intel (xSeries) and storage technology solutions to small medium businesses and/or larger enterprises. However, experience in other brand (HP, Sun, Hitachi, etc.) infrastructure will be given strong consideration.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent is preferred.
  • Knowledge of and sales experience with middleware products (e.g. Tivoli, Websphere, DB2, etc.) and/or enterprise software applications (e.g. SAP, PeopleSoft, Oracle, etc.) a plus.
